Every 6 months or more often if needed I take my Z-9 to a regular pressure car wash. I set it on Soap and pressure spray from the front to the back. I never get the wand closer than 12" usually staying about 16-18in. When I have completely pressure soaped the boat I switch to rinse and power rinse the soap. When completely soap free I switch to SPOT FREE Rinse and completed rinse boat from front to back. The spot free rinse when dry will allow me to just take a damp cloth and easily remove and mud, footprints or stains. I have done this on 3 different boats over 15 yrs. Never had the carpet come up. My opinion any manufacturer who is using a carpet glue that melts with soapy water is using a very cheap glue.
John K Fontenot Diapers and Politicians need to be changed often; and for the same reason.

I wash my boat on a steep incline unhooked nose up in the garage with the plug out. I rinse like crazy with my spayer on jet first trying to get all the dirt out first. Probably 30 minutes on front deck, center console area, and then back deck. I mix a light mix of blue dawn (blue carpet) and wash and rinse a 3 ft area from front to back. I use a soft brissel brush. I normally wash my carpets In February and August. Keep in mind I vacuum my boat out every 2 weeks. This method will keep your carpets looking new for a very long time. When I do it I normally call a couple buddies and have beer and food!

Aaron at the car wash in Sulphur Springs as done the research to use the correct shampoo to not do harm to your carpet and when he is done the carpet will be dry. He will not leave water in carpet. He does has little or as much to clean your boat has you need. He can do a complete boat and trailer detail in about 4 hours.
