First post on here, although I have been reading posts off and on for years. I finally got an opportunity to get in the water in Junction. I had fished telegraph crossing and Llano State Park about 15 years ago, and it had not changed too much. The water was still a little stained from recent rains, but the shallow areas were clean. I managed to land numerous small sunfish, small largemouth, and two Guadalupes. Fishing was slow most of the day, but as they say, "Even a bad day fishing is better than the best day ________."

Nice post. I fished that area last month and really had to work hard for what I caught. Love the scenery and plan on fishing there some more. thumb

Side Note: welcome To the TFF! Glad to have you on board. Looking forward to reading more of your post. cheers

Unfortunately, I was using a 5 wt rod and overpowered every fish. A 2 or 3 would have been much better.

Thanks! I use a 3 wt on the sunfish! They are a blast to catch on the fly.

That's cool.
This past year I picked up both a 2wt and a 3wt rig.
They make any day a fun day.
Besides being a LOT more fun when you have a fish on, I think they're a lot more enjoyable in between fish as well.
I highly recommend both!!!
