For stripers, not good. I went with a guide two weeks ago and caught three in six hours...using four downriggers. Aug and Sept are the slowest months.

I was out there this past Saturday and Sunday mornings, early. Lots of schooling fish in the flooded willows around Shaw island. Stripers and whites both. No real big stripers. Find the terns and you will find the fish.

I haven't been out much but visiting with my guide friends and they tell me its been hit or miss. We went out a few weeks ago after work and got into them and had caught 25 including one that was a little over 14lb. Went the next day and caught 2. As mentioned the top water bite is getting fired up and should just be getting better. I have heard the fish coming up by the dam are better fish with mostly 18-20" fish with the occasional big fish. Its hard to do but if you drop live shad below those schoolies many times you will catch the bigger fish. But dang its hard for me to do.
