There is a quick reference guide that you want to keep on the boat. Other than that the motor is bad to the bone. It has made me a legend in my mind.

All owners of spotlock trolling motors should install a panic stop switch in case someone gets their line caught in the trolling motor. (They will) I bought mine at Grainger Supply for $35.00. Just step on the switch and the motor will stop. This handle will really help when stowing or launching the Xi5. I bought mine from: http://www.bikewagon.com/part/stems/lefty-stemsYou will love this motor.

Hey David - how's that new store front working out for you? Working out well my friend....More of a shop than a store front. I will have units on display so customers can stop by and put their hands on the units and get a better understanding as to what they want. Shop is for installs mainly and it houses my boat which I will be using for my educational trips on Grapevine and Lewisville which I am going to be introducing very soon. Working on getting the sign permitted and completed. Hope to have it done soon minus the .com part of the logo.

Hey Redneck - congrats on the Xi5. If you have any issues with the mounting or if it is hitting your trailer, shoot me a pm or visit my website at www.liftsavertmmount.com and I can help you out. Did you link it to a Lowrance FF? That works really well and I love this option on my boat. Enjoy and go easy on all them crappie that you will now b parked over.

My Xi5 sits higher than my previous Fortrex. You might need a taller nav light. I just got the attwood 5091-14-1. It is listed at 14" but actually measures about 17" and is visible over my Xi5.

That is a great idea to avoid a safety concern or possible ticket. I will have to order one today. Thank you for letting us all know.
