Want to say a HUGE thanks to Frank..."Custom Rod Maker" for the custom rods you have made for our customers to use! There is 30 in all. Frank made several trips back and forth to Tawakoni from Tyler area making revisions and doing testing so that we could have the perfect Hybrid/Striper/WhiteBass rod. It's hard to find anyone that will go that far out of his way to get things right. Kiddos bud! If anyone is in the market for a TRUE custom rod, Frank is your man. Custom Rod Maker: (903) 245-8187

I am curious.
What blank and length did you choose?
Is it an all around slab, topwater, deadstick, and swim bait rod or multiple rods for various applications?

7' Medium Action...it's an all functional rod for slabs, swim baits and live bait. And...even though I haven't tried it it's gonna be a KILLER dead stick Rod! One thing is is for sure..customers LOVE IT...and ask to make sure we have them on their nxt trip! I'll post some pics up later.

Thanks for the good word Salsa. I just got back from Tulsa late last night had to make a quick trip this week. But I am getting back on your next set of rods for your other boat. Hope to have them done in a week or so depends on how much overtime I have to do at my real job. Wish I could afford to quite that full time job and build rods and fish all the time but wife won't let me. She says I have to many hobbies that cost money. So I have to work to support my hobbies.

Salsa the blue and orange webbing on the butts are a hybrid sleeve made of fiberglass and carbon fiber with 4 coats of 2500 psi epoxy on top. I don't think the bee ready rod holders will ever damage them in this area. These handles will last for a long time and will show little wear.

The blanks on these rods are much like a Waterloo or similar speckled trout Rod. It's best compared to a "popping Rod". Handles hybrid and white bass well with a good overall parabolic bend.
