if i were to put willow tree brush piles, do i let leaves dry and fall off or put them out green? any info will help, thanks in advance.

Definitely green. I use a cinder block tied to the bottom and a jug tied on top to keep tree upright in water. I catch crappie on top of tree and bass on bottom.
