Went to marine creek to mess around with the fish finder and noticed some wierd stuff on it and wasn't sure what one thing was. Pull up next to dam in around 35 ft of water now when I was around 20ft I could notice floor was showing as I went deeper I noticed fuzz I guess from that point to max depth is that normal here's a pic

thermocline, change in water temp. it shows up on the sonar because science

That fuzzy layer is the thermocline, the top is at 18'.

Very cool that's what I was thinking but wanted input.. Still new at reading the fish finder and understanding what I'm looking at!!

the science - Thermocline shows up in sonar due to the change in density of the water (due to the rapid change in temp).
