Fishing between RAIN SHOWERS has been the game plan since last Friday. The bite has been "ON FIRE". With rain showers, overcast conditions, and cooler temperatures the bite never stopped. Fished several days in the Hill Country and fished small rivers and a couple of ponds. Fish were found by flooded grass beds, reed beds, and shallow drop offs. Float and bottom techniques were used. The baits used were live night crawlers and Gulp Alive Night Crawlers. Fished about 5 hours each trip and had to bare several heavy rain showers while fishing. Caught over 50 fish each trip. Most of the fish caught were Bluegill and Redear. Several Redbreast,Channel Catfish,Tilapia, and a couple of bass rounded out the catch. Most fish were released but several made it to the dinner table. Catching a mess of sunnies between showers. It just don't get any better. fish

Nice looking fish Chuck! Good job nailing em in the rain. What was the water condition? Also have you been seeing any minnows in those places in the hill country where you fish? Heading to a Crappie spot!

Thanks Curtis for the reply! cheers The water conditions were pretty good considering the amount of rain that has fallen. dance2 Some areas it was stained and a couple of other areas it was clear. eeks The limestone plays a huge factor in the clarity of the water up there. hmmm I am seeing a lot of minnows. I am also seeing bass and sunnies chasing em in the shallow water close to the bank. bolt It is a site to see. Also I am seeing a lot of Dragon Flies. I am also seeing bass coming out of the water trying to catch the ones flying close to the water. thumb

Side Note: I think a fly rod would do very good! hooked
