How is this lake? I've never fished it before and I'm looking for a lake with decent bank access for some bass fishing. Any and all info is appreciated.

I can tell you the first confirmed catch in Texas of an actual red bellied piranha was at Boerne Lake in 1982. It was big news back then. I only fished the lake in the 80's. No recent experience.

Boerne Lake is a deep lake with lots of grass beds and bank space. It can be a very difficult lake to fish by bank. Usually March,September, and October are pretty good months to fish the bank there. Just my two cents. Try to fish the edges of grass beds and look for shallow drop offs. Fishing is way better by boat or kayak. Side Note: No gas powered motors in use are allowed on the lake. Paddles and trolling motors are OK.
