Picked up a new handbook and also updated my TPWD app and the new regs for Twonk are in both. Don't forget starting Sept 1 2016 the new regs take effect.

I would really like to see tournaments go to a 3 fish stringer anyways. Its a lot of stress on those big fish to be in a live well all day. Plus it is easier to keep 3 alive than 5.

they could always have a 4 fish weigh in. but the change will be good.
The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

Great to see tha new regs....feel free to share your knowledge with those you come in contact with. 8 out of 10 locals I talk to have no idea the regs are changing... 3 fish would be great for the big fish tourneys!

I am glad for you guy's getting a size limit enforced....everybody make a measuring board!!! And it will make it easier on guides too think about it those star struck clients with a butcher knife ready to hack can be told not today folks.. and off the topic we have fished Texas lakes since 2002 and NEVER cleaned a big fish...but I have been showed 1st hand a picture of a 25 fich limit and ALL fish were over 25lbs.... I hope it is enforced for you all as well
If it ain't broke don't fix it...but go ahead and work on it anyway.....

I think they over-complicated it a bit, but I am for the additional regulations. Let's work to keep the Trophy blue fishing great on this lake. As for the tournaments, I agree, a 3 or 4 fish limit is all that needs to be changed, and I don't see how that could hurt the tournaments any. To add to that discussion, is there any reason a big fish couldn't be weighed at any time during the day? Or do the participants have to wait until the weigh-in to weight all their fish? Because I agree, it would be tought to keep 200lbs of blues alive all day without stressing them badly.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

I was thinking the same about the tournaments. I really like the MLF style of weigh as you catch. That looks alot easier on the fish than riding them around all day. Just my two cents.

I'm just ready for 4 foot whitecaps and honeybuns... I'm ready for the cold dark days with frigid nights that the farmers almanac said we're gonna have this year.. I'm ready to look down at my hot cup of coffee and watch the steam rise from it as I take a warm pull from a marlboro that I know I shouldn't be enjoying... I'm ready for the calm right before the storm... That moment your thinking it's just not gonna happen and then suddenly the clickers on your 6500's or 7,000's errupt... I'm ready for the scariest of trips at the scariest of times like maybe when I'm solo at night and I decided to leave the wife and kids at home for fear of their own safety while with me on the water... I'm ready for the true piece and quiet one needs to re-enter the happiest and fondest memories you have of your close friends and loved ones... The times you think about things like maybe the way your dad looks when he's totally at peace eating that hot warm meal at the table that your mom just prepared and set before him... I'm ready to look up at the sky and wonder what the heck am I doing out here or begin to imagine the true size of the toads that are swimming around my boat and question if the 10 ought hooks I just put on are adequate... I'm ready for new encounters with monster bluecat that I located in places that we're only foreign to me until the moment they crunched my 3 inch corks or popped my 65lb power pro like it was 10lb p-line... I'm ready to pull in net loads of 10 inch gizzard shad that are so heavy you have to empty half of it just to get it in the boat... I'm ready to serve the fish entrees of crazy sized gizzard heads with appetizers of cut perch and cut carp that are too good and too fresh for em to turn down... I guess what I'm trying to say, is I'm ready for October, November, December, January, February and March baby!!!!! Come on lets go...
