Just curious to get yalls thoughts on why Choke didn't fill up at all with all the rain recently?

Corpus Christi owns the rights to the water. Choke is used to keep water in Lake Corpus Christi. Both lakes did go up some.
Right now the surface acres of LCC is greater than Choke. I think they are keeping a steady flow in the Nueces too for the estuary.
As long as the water is needed downstream they will continue to release water from Choke.

They were letting out a ton of water so my guess is they aren't worried about it filling up. I was working right there in Tilden and crossed over the outlet there near 72 every day and man it was flowing. Looked like more water coming out then coming in IMO

They are never going to let Choke fill up unless there is a hurricane or a Baton Rouge type rain over the entire watershed and the area downstream. I have been watching Texas lake levels for the last couple of years and the one that never comes up no matter how much rain falls in the area is Choke.
