A Zoom 4" green pumpkin Dead Ringer worm was my go-to worm five years ago when I was fishing in clear water. It Later stopped working for some reason I never understood. Now I am fishing in a lake that doesn't have vegetation and the water is badly stained from wakeboard and ski boats. My 7" Power worms, my most recent go-to worms, have also stopped working. The bass are currently feeding on small shad, so I probably need a small worm again, but one with a color for stained water. This notion is strengthened by the fact that my fishing buddy caught several bass this week on a 4" pumpkin color worm, brand unknown, an old worm he dug out. If you have any suggestions of something that might work on a light weight Texas rig, brand and color, based on your experience, it would help. Many thanks and tight lines.
