Looking for some advice on good places to camp and fish. A buddy and I will be tent camping and fishing from a boat. (Might stay out on boat all night fishing the first night) Would love to find somewhere that we can get a nice camping spot that is on the water and that has a nice boat ramp.

It would be awesome to be able to leave the boat in the water and not have to trailer every time get out of at night but I know most places won't have that option.

Right now I'm thinking Tawakoni State Park but I've been there a lot and would love input on other places for good camping and better fishing.

Going out on Monday, Sept 5th - 7th so short trip.

Labor day weekend? Not a chance. Too many idiots will be out. Save my money and fish the following weekend.

Labor Day, yes, but not the weekend. We will get there that Monday and stay through Wednesday.

Really leaning towards staying out on the boat overnight on Monday and fishing all night. Will likely do Twok since I know the park is nice and big fish are there. Was just wanting to see if anyone else knew of a good place to fish and camp? Wouldn't mind trying something new.

Fairfield State Park Lake(RIP) was once the best shot in the state with big reds, channels, and flatheads, bream, Tilapia along with warm water in spring, winter, and fall. Now it is so-so fishing after the big kill but still a wonderful park to camp with water, electric, and grills.
Limestone is very nice with free camping parks(no electric or water)and lots of nice blue cat, sandbass, and crappie. RC is a great lake with ample blues, channels, sandbass, and crappie unsure of camping facilities but they are available.

Clients or I have landed eight state record fish and eighteen water body records.
