Will do. I intend to take a kayak next time and pick it apart in the slower moving areas.

Nice I was there on August 14 with my wife and kids. We went tubing that Saturday before and Sunday I got up early and took my fly rod down to the river. I love that place! Clear water and beautiful view! Wish I lived down in the hill country! I live up NE of Dallas at Lake Lavon. I really wanted to catch me a Guadalupe bass. I caught a few sunfish I think they were longear not really sure. And caught a few little bass, one appeared to be a smallmouth the others were LMB. I wasn't sure what a Guadalupe bass looked like until I looked it up later.... I was thinking the last little bass I caught was a Guad but it was just a LMB. Still had fun. Ended up using a small yellow wooley bugger to catch all the fish with. They really liked that yellow for some reason. I tried white and got nothing before I went back to yellow. We stayed at Mountain Breeze camp site. Here is the video I got.

I promise you that the river is full of stripers from the lake. The Comal has a few as well
Give it a try next time!!

And if the Jug says it, you can take it to the bank.

What's the best approach/method to catching them? Never tried 'em

Jug will have to tell you. He's caught plenty. Sorry I can't offer advice.

Thanks Wgpj
I use a triple jointed lure and I burn it across the top. Go early, striper have big eyes and they can see good. Light line is key
