 Gibbons Creek closing for three weeks

Spread the word if you know someone that fishes Gibbons Creek.
Gibbons Creek will be closing on 8/22, a Monday, for replacing the bulk heads and the boat ramp pier. They will be closed at least three weekends. They might open the weekend after Labor Day. If you fish in September you should check with Gibbons Creek to see if they are open yet.
The upside is that Somerville Overlook Marina and boat ramp is now open on Lake Somerville.

Well dang. The boat dock next to the ramp needs a whole lot of TLC so I guess it's ok.

After fishing lake fayette and the increase of price at gibbons, and getting a bigger engine... I probably won't be returning to Gibbons Creek.... and that's a shame, because it was fun to fish. Just not as much fun as Fayette.
Have pole and boat, will travel, can learn.
