Hello fellow TFF members we are going to run a "SUMMER TIME CRAPPIE & WHITE BASS SPECIAL". Come enjoy some summer time fishing. With some cool savings. This Special will run till the end of September. We are offering half day trips 4-5 hrs. All the fishing equipment is included and we clean and bag your catch.

Week days only Monday - Friday
Two people $250

Each additional person $100.00

Weekends Saturday and Sunday
"Excludes holidays"
$100.00 a person with a 3 person minimum.

Each additional person $100.00

Fishing is really good right now. Crappie are being caught on brush piles in 15-25 FOW. Also on standing timber in the same depth range. Most fish are being caught on minnows and Constant Pursuit Outfitters jigs by Lane Palmer. Jig color of choice seems to be White Hot and Fishing Farmer on those sunny days. Now on the cloudy days. Color of choice is Chartreuse or Blazin Raisin. All on the Thump Buddy profile.

The White Bass have been on points and some main lake humps in 10-25 FOW. They are on the constant move. In search of shad to feed on. We're using slabs but mostly trolling Heddon Magnum Hellbenders in Silver color. With about a 3' fluorocarbon leader and #2 Pet Spoon. Trolled at idle speed.

Come on out let's catch fish and creat memories of a lifetime!

Tight Lines,
Downwind Guide Service

Why would that be? A lot of our guides here post in the crappie section. Also there's a fishing report as part of this post too. Why would this post be any different and need to be moved?

He gave a very detailed scouting report (more than what most guides on the TFF do) and is offering lower prices to help you out, and to help pay bills...I don't see a problem with that. In fact, now that you mention it, I'll be fishing with Downwind Guide Service on Saturday morning with a buddy who just got out of the Marines.

See you in a few days, Kevin!

Your probably right Laner, I guess it just seems to me that all the guides, seem to be posting more and more about their services and it kinda seems to be just turing into an advertising forum. This may just be a cycle and the forum will return with more post how to catch crappie, jiggin', etc. Hope my comment did not offend anyone, if it did I am sorry. Later, tight lines

No offense taken here. I just was wondering why Kevin's post would be treated any differently than other guides. My thought was just like Laner's in that it was an actual report and also mentioned his guide service. As long as the guides provide legitimate info that's useful I think they are providing valuable information as to fish patterns. Tight lines to all!

Hey Kevin is a good guy. I see him catching fish all the time when we run into him on the lake.

hey, never mess with anyone named Mc cullough, McGraw, Mc Gregor, Mc COY, Mc Donald, ect theres a reason theyre called the fightin irish! haha taz

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

We went out yesterday and fished his evening after work hours tour from 5pm - dusk and boated a ton of under' and about 20 keepers.

Kevin is on the fish and can get you bit. The bite on LL will only get better as we move into fall and temps start to cool. It is my favorite time of year on LL. The big girls/boys come out to play.

Book your after work hours tour with Kevin today and get that thump therapy you've been needing. His morning trips are just as good.

He is on the crappie both LL and RR

Thanks for the trip Kevin. Always good fishing with ya!

OH!!! Loved the new Fenwick 8'6" rods....

Kevin, a friend (Corey) and myself took a quick trip out to Grapevine Sunday night because Corey needed some crappie for next weekends trip to the deer lease. We didn't have a whole lot of time but managed to put these in some baggies for Corey.

Guys, if you want to catch some crappie, Kevin can put you on some and he is a heck of a nice guy to fish with. I get off his boat and my sides hurt from laughing so much and I truly do enjoy fishing with him.
