I told my son about my fishing Adventures down in Galveston when I was young about his age 15 16 years old well now he wants to spend next summer for three whole months at Lake Fork camping out and just fishing every day I live two and a half hours from Lake Fork

Sounds like a good time to let him get some job experience with a part time gig around the lake and all the fishing he can handle..

May I provide some unsolicited advice?
Make sure he stays up on his schooling in case he needs to fall back on an education in the event that he does not turn out to be the next KVD. As the parent, you will have to figure out how to ensure there is the proper balance.
I'm as passionate about bass fishing as the next guy, but it is just like college athletics, very few can compete in the NFL. They need something to do when things don't work out. Not trying to be negative, just realistic.

This is just for fun...A adventure huck Finn style... Hell yall might be able to smell him from DFW...He dont like to take a bath when roughing it...I love my kids to be adventurous and daring live life on the edge...Do things that make other people envious....

kayak boat bank, sounds like a good time, me an my buddies usually take weekend trips that way 6 or 7 times a year

Heck yeah. Mike and I would disappear for weeks at a time. Mom would show up with groceries and food every week or so.

If you need guidance on a kayak let me know. I know some people who can get him an awesome kayak for a great value complete with a FF and all of the extras he will need.
It will definitely make him a more patient fisherman knowing you can't motor to the other side of the lake when the bite it tough.

Have him camp at a place like Hideaway Harbor in Little Caney. It's safe, blocked by the wind if he is in a kayak and most importantly they have a nice shower for the campers to use!
