Hit the lake yesterday at 7:00am. Found a cove with tons of baitfish. It has a draw on the backend that looked like it caught a lot of rain. Caught 23 LMB biggest ~ 5lbs. All on watermelon fluke, weightless, 3/0 hook and 14lb fluorocarbon line. Also caught 4 sand bass in there. Off the water by noon. Hope that this update helps some. Biggest fish were caught in the buck brush/shade.

Good report... I wonder what today's rain will do to the water? I need to get out there bad Water color was fine. They bit OK for me but I felt like I was out of sync out there as its my first time on Grapevine in 3-4 years at least. Felt like the odds of a great day were in my favor but I stayed a step behind the fish a bit. Had enough bites to call it a good day but really felt like I left some bites out there.

Was on the water yesterday and the water temps are dropping due to the rain and such. Warmest I found was 84 in the back of twin coves. Had about 25-30 unders with only one slot about 4lbs. water was slightly stained with about 1 1/2' viability. Caught everything on a drop shot. last two weeks have been awesome on the dam and deep structure for sure but the big girls have pulled out from the dam due to the lake coming up a few feet i think. oh and thnx to who ever dropped the PVC forest !,,,,,wont post the location but thanks for a fun day with my son on that spot. Couldn't find the fatty's but had a blast catching unders on light line.
