Need help. I have seen this topic before, but I can't find it using the Search feature. My question is, what is your most productive bait for catching bass that are schooling out in the lake or near shore on shad, i.e. several bass busting shad on the surface for a minute then disappearing?

Heddon One Knocker Spook I really like to throw a Spook when fish are schooling. This bait usually gets the bigger ones out of the group. It's the easiest soppok style bait to walk too. Strike King Red Eye Shad Another option that I like is the Red Eye Shad. This is for when the school isn't super active anymore. Be sure to throw a bright color. That will distract the fish and let them hone in on your bait.
