Haven't fished any of the big swimbaits, but I do like the 5 inch SK swim n shiner and rage swimmer on a jig head or underspin.
You can also rig them on a weighted screw lock hook if Fishing shallow.

Basstrix Paddle Tail Swimbait I like the Basstrix swimbaits. These have proven themselves a winner to me time and time again. I love that the paddle tail has a solid thump to it. My favorite color is Lanier Herring and Hologram Shad.

Watch very carefully what a lot of pros throw. I know several who are sponsored by other companies who throw the Basstrix almost exclusively.

For me it's the Zoom 5" swimmin' super fluke in watermelon red (the one with the paddle tail, not the split tail). Good weight, good action, good color for most conditions, available and affordable at most retailers. Weightless on a large, offset worm hook gives the best action, but I also like using a belly-weighted hook for fishing deeper.

Don't be afraid to trim the head off to fit flush on jig heads as well.

Robo worm makes one that's on another level! Besides that basstrix work great and keitech work good as well but if it's my choice Robo worms are the best

I'll be the conformist. 4.8" keitech swing impact fat in sexy shad. Been having luck throwing it on a 3/8 oz 4/0 hook swing jig.
The dude abides...
