My Ranger did this too so I'm not sure if it just happens to 10 year old boat trailers or if I'm needing something replaced or maintained better. When I'm in the diesel, I can hardly detect the boat slamming back and forth when I come to a stop sign and then take off again. The truck has enough weight that it isn't very noticeable. My half ton though makes it very apparent that something isn't right. I've bled the lines, topped off the fluid and the brakes on the front axle seem to be functioning fine but I'm wondering if something in the surge mechanism in the tongue has malfunctioned?
Anyone ever dealt with this and found the reason for the slop back and forth in the tongue brakes? Or how about anyone in Rockwall or east of there to give it a look?
Thanks as always.

If it's a ufp hitch it might be the shock.there is a gas shock in there to lessen the force.

It is typically air in the lines and/or low fluid level. If you are sure that you have no air in your lines and that you're topped off on fluid, then bradnitro has likely identified your problem.

You nailed it gang.
I had a less than desirable customer service experience at Pacific Boat Trailers but called EZ Loader directly and they knew exactly what I needed and pulled up my exact parts by VIN number.
I'll post the information in case this ever gets pulled up in a search.
Rex in the parts department at EZ Loader is 870-481-5138 ext 254
He's got a new master cylinder and the shock you guys referenced on its way to me. He said the master cylinder goes out at about the same time so replacing both is ideal. Under $100 for all new components.
Thanks as always fellas!

Sometimes the hole for the keeper pin on the hitch gets wallowed out. Always check that first.

For $60-$80, I'll deal with a little noise. It reminds me that my boat is still there.
