im looking to replace the console locator on my pontoon. i only fish for Crappie. dont want to spend over $600 but do want GPS. whats your thought?

Get the biggest screen you can in a Humminbird or Lowrance for your money. You may check out Cabelas bargain cave often. Saw some good deals in there the other day. You may find a Helix 7 si combo for that price.

I got my helix 7si for $525 at Universal mania. Check with them often though, cuz their process change a lot.

I'm running a Hook 7 as my gps and down scan. Picked it up at Academy for $499. Great unit so far.
