Caught 54: 47 whites, a legal hybrid, 2 short hybrids, a cat and 3 keeper yellow bass. Went out at 2:15PM and checked out Long Ridge - no fish there. Looked at No-name Hump - nothing there. Found fish at Key Ranch Drop-off in 12 to 14 fow, nothing at Key Ranch North, found good bunch in 14 fow on Old Pond Dam (not on map), then on to Merimac Point and caught more whites and the legal hybrid in 16-17 fow and finished up at Kevin's Point with several whites in 15 -16 fow. Saw RHORHO Rhonda there catching whites. I caught all of mine on #2 silver Mepps with 3/8 oz mash-on weight about 16 inches up the line.

Fishing at Ray Hubbard has pretty much sucked. I may have to try a new technique.

Wow Dennis you down sized to #2 already? Is that typical for mid August? I don't even have any #2. Very interesting.

It seems like the big hybrids all left Hubbard. Doh!

Yes, very typical for August and September.
