As a bank fishermen how should I fish going into the fall? Is there any difference?

Absolutely you should fish into the fall. Oct & Nov are my two favorite months of the year. You have the shallow active fish like spring without the crazy crowds.

Typically the fish school and you can catch them on topwaters. I know you are a bank fisherman but the fish become very active in the fall. On the lakes, they will move into the back 1.3 of the creeks so that should make them more accessible for you. Keep a buzzbait and a Popper style or prop style topwater tied on and also a weightless Super Fluke in pearl white to throw at the fish that might miss your topwater.

Ken is right on top of this. You will have lots of fun. Storm also makes some very nice pre-rigged swim baits that are great for bank fishing in the smaller sizes.

Fall I'd awesome. The fish are shallow like spring but you can fish faster. Like Ken said, always have a top water and followup bait(fluke,Senko).

Piggybacking on this topic....what water temps are ideal for the fall fishing patterns to really get started?

This rain really dropped the temps on the lakes if you are in an area that got a good amount. I was in the back of two different cuts yesterday. One of which was full of schooling whites chasing shad, it was a fun 30 minutes throwing a squarebill. The other cut, a much bigger one was loaded with shad bank to bank all on the surface. I've never seen anything like it. Water temp low to mid 80's

I love fall fishing. The shad move back shallow and you can have some stellar days with little boat traffic.
