I've got lots of reasons to be thankful that I over look most of the time, for one I have an awesome wife that lets me fish whenever I want. and some great guys (that I met thru Tff ) that I now call friends who are eat up with crappie fishing just like me that I get to finish with and learn from each other. I texted Ken and asked if he felt like getting wet and he responded with I get off at 3. So we decided to meet at the ramp at 3:30. I checked the weather channel app one last time before loading the boat and it had changed to 0% chance of rain  The weather was fantastic the fishing not so much even though we started out putting 3 keepers in the boat pretty fast we had to work for Rest of our fish.We were fishing standing timber and almost all our bites can once our jig had fallen to our desired depth. Best baits were black/chart w/ pink head and pearl/chart w/pink head. We didn't catch a limit or any 2lb fish but All in all it was a great trip and I'm thankful for that.

Fishing is not always about catching fish. Sounds like a good time with a friend.

I missed fishing in this nice cool August weather. I'll be happy just to be out there on the water. Ya'll enjoy it and be safe. Thanks for the report sir.
