I fish off my buddy's boat slip. Normally crappie and bass but enjoy carp fishing. Have not caught a carp in 6 weeks. All of the sudden they are back after the rains and cooler temps. Tried a new dough bait recipe which got a lot more bites. I just used bread and mixed in a whole small can of cheap fish food. The main ingredients are fish and shrimp meal.

Anyway caught over 12-13 carp in a little over 2 hours. Most were 1-4 pounds then I got this one which I guess weighed 7-8, maybe more? Not good at guessing weights. Fought like a champ! (also got some small channel cats on the fish food bait)

Anyway, thought I would share. I got 3X as many bites on the fish food bait as I did on either vanilla or cottonseed mill and anise which are flavors I use with success normally.

I will go back out tomorrow and try the bait again.
