I agree, a crash hurts lot more than it did as a kid! Taken me a month!!

Your eyes also get worse the older you get. Glad you're OK.

Ouch! I'd bet your pride got hurt worse than your actual injuries if anyone saw that. Next time you will pay closer attention to those things called gates.
Addendum: Exercise can be deadly if you don't adhere to closed gates!
Glad you're healing....

I did an easy'ish ride today. My right hand could not grip well, and my body felt bruised, but I had to do something. I've got Stars games this Tuesday and Thursday, so I will rest then.
Get out and exercise!

Ouch! Glad you're feeling better but damn.
Diagnosed with fibromyalgia here back in 98. I have good days where I don't sit still, and then I have bad days where I literally cannot move.
I work on staying limber and moving as much as I can and have walked off 12 dress sizes. But even right now, I have spots on my back and on my thighs that feel like somebody took a belt sander to the skin and underlying muscle. Even soft t-shirt material lightly draped over my shoulders hurts right now. And that's just my life. Every time I move, I'm in pain. Sitting still I'm in pain.
Still have an ADD mind and I've never sat still well, so I tend to push myself past the breaking point given half a chance. Get me out in the country like two weeks ago and I was cutting down trees, peeling pine posts, hauling brush, etc. Then Sunday I could barely stand.

Right knee pain from a long time ago hyper-extension. Surgery was 10 years ago but still wasn't a good fix. I'm trying to increase running distances but currently fighting through it. Knee replacement will be in the future, eventually. Also, left shoulder torn rotator cuff but doesn't bother me much unless I fish really hard for a couple of days straight. Then, I just fight through it and take Advil.
Growing old is not for sissies, and heck, I'm only 56. What shape wil I be in at 75? Scary to think about, but taking off weight will make all the difference.

I dread it, I turned 30 end of last year, and I already feel like I stay sore. Granted I lived a pretty wild and out of control life through my late teens/ early 20's. I'm too going with the "maybe shedding some lbs will atleast help with that." I can tell you, I never had it diagnosed but I'm pretty sure I had plantar fasciitis in one of my feet. Hurt for like 2 years, and no matter what I tried it still hurt. Started losing weight and next thing I know it doesn't bother me any more.

The human body is/was made to be in motion, "not" sit at a desk or on the couch most of the day.
Odd though, we are supposed to be really active, and experience life, put our bodies through all kinds of tests, some easy, some strenuous, but for those of us who have been "athletic" all our lives, we feel it when we hit 40, for sure.
Those who live a mostly sedentary life hurt as well, mainly because they did not work the body as much as they should have, and ate poorly.
Either way, a work truck constantly needs tuneups, oil and new belts and tires. It never stops needing maintenance, and that clanking noise under the hood that has never gone away, that's that torn rotator cuff or bad knee that won't heal, and we feel every day or our lives.
Regardless, growing old is not for weenies. It tough, but I'd rather live and go out fighting the "fitness" fight than "spreading across the couch" and slothing away!

I need another knee surgery, but waiting for about 5 years so I only have to do one more in my life time. It doesn't bother me much except for occassionally when weather changes. Emu oil seems to help.
Right now, I am dealing with some left tricep pain. I think I may have over done it last week. Trying to work through the pain. Using a TENS unit last couple of days calms it a bit. Now have Salonpas patches on it. Will see how it goes the next couple of days
LET’S GO BRANDON!!!

I got a pain in my left elbow area...I feel a tendon that is tight run from my elbow into my wrist....then there is a tight spot above the elbow. So bad I can't lift a 12" cast iron skillet. Not sure what is wrong....hopefully time heals it.
I did fall on the elbow in my bike wreck a month ago. It had been tender working with my dumbbells once a week. Then I had a rough couple days installing furniture at work. I'm sure it's just over done it....as half our injuries come from! Overuse!

If you don't have insurance, CareNow has a plan where you pay like $50 and it covers you with their 'insurance' for 6 months...and it's like $68 to go see them...it also gives you a discount on medications. You definitely need to take it easy and watch your body mechanics.

Got my beak tweaked a wee bit a while back. (2nd time, the first I got it fixed with surgery, my wife said "heck no" until i quit) Now I get sinus infections real easy and cannot breathe well at night. A broken nose, the gift that keeps on giving. Still I would gladly take another broken snout over some of y'alls terrible injuries. It's my own fault trying to compete with kids in their 20s when I am 2X their age and i am really not very athletic or good at Boxing/Muay Thai anyway. But I like it and I am in great shape.
