Wanting to go fishing today but not sure on some other lake options within 150 miles of DFW to get out of the weather.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ray Roberts, lots of creeks and coves get out of wind.

When the high pressure cap has been burst like this, storms with lightning can pop up anywhere in the N. Texas area. Looking at the current radar, there are three major systems generally moving west to east. I am not a meteorologist, but I have circled in yellow areas that look less likely to receive major storms. Another strategy is to drive toward either the northwestern or the southwestern edge of the current system, and by the time you get there, the storm will have moved off.

No way I would get out in this weather. I won't even mount a tractor in thunderstorms.
Cast I have a short attention spa

Here's the Wichita Falls forecast. By the time you get there, most of the major storms should have moved off. wichita falls forecast video/web page So if you were to start driving toward Lake Arrowhead, Nocona, Bridgeport, Amon Carter, etc you might drive through some areas that are raining/potential flooding; but by the time you launch, most of the bad weather should have passed.

I'd stay home, mow grass if it doesn't rain to much. Get whatever chores honeydoos out of they way, fix things in preperation for making time when better fishing in the fall comes around.
Thanks, Billy

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Will they change your minners out when needed for a flat fee? Hate touching those things.......
