I'll say this, traded my 2000 Champion 203 for a 2015 FX20. The Skeeter already has more nicks in the fiberglass from Amistad in 5 months (stored there) than my Champion on Fork and Palestine in 15 years. Scratching my head because other than the two piers at Amistad it hasn't been touched by anything else. Granted Diablo East is a sturdy pier and I have recently added Bumper Blocks when tying up....but I feel like my Skeeter is made of paper mache?

Buy a Ranger boat better quality boat for the money skeeter has no customer service after three years skeeter trailer and boat look like [censored] .trust me I have one best thing on boat is the motor .Do what you want your decision  its best to buy the fx21 that way you get the best of both boats so if for some reason you get the urge to be in a ranger you just slow down 5mph and have your partner poor water on you when your running around and bingo its just like being in the ranger  A Ranger owner on a Skeeter thread. Shocker. Go with the 21 if you fish with two folks. The 20 is fine with a single console if you do a lot of solo and you get all of the space for yourself. I'm not sure I'll ever go below 21 again. Those extra few inches sure make a difference.

I'm used to the 21' so I'll probably just go FX21LE You won't regret it! I bought the red LE It's personal preference but I like the 2016 over the new 2017  I bought the exact same boat but I put 12' Talons on mine. The 2017 interior features are in my opinion way better with the 3 rod boxes and tackle storage, fiberglass lined compartments...no carpet, better glove box, better switch set up for oxygen and blower being at the drivers console, nicer steering wheel and the ice chest seat looks much better. However I do like the color options better for 2016...nice boat!

I didn't look at the 2017's live well so I'm not sure if they copied the zx225/250 and went to one single live well which was why I passed on the new zx250. I did like the no carpet in the rod lockers!

OK...so I am absolutely a person that can give you really good info on this subject...I just sold a 2013 FX20 Double Console to get a 2016 FX21 Single console. The room is very noticeable on the front deck, I love the single console and will never go back to a double.
Something to consider is also if you are looking at a used boat - pre 2014 is equipped with latches that absolutely suck - you cant change them out. Post 2014 boats use the westco latch which is far superior.
Go with a 21 - way worth the small additional cost.
Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

I have a FX21 w/ 250 SHO. I ran a ZX20 w/250 SHO before that. I have ridden in a FX20. These are the comparison I see that are pluses for both.
FX20 is faster with, maybe 5-10 mph.
FX20 gets better fuel efficiency due to being slightly lighter.
FX20 maneuvers a little better when fishing around stumps and such.
FX21 is a much more stable ride, especially in rough water.
FX21 added deck space.
FX21 doesn't blow around as much in the wind.
I will take the difference of the FX21 and stay with it for the stability. Not that the FX20 is that unstable. Just some subtle differences.
