You're asking for help on one of the most competitively fished bass lakes in Texas, if not the country.

People aren't going to just give you the keys to fishing the lake. You will get some general advice, but will have to figure it out like the rest of us who might fish the lake once a year. Time on the water.

Hey, I'm in the same boat you are. So please don't take my post the wrong way. Not meant to be mean spirited. Just realize what you are asking and where you are asking.

All that just said, somebody will jump in and spill their guts and make me look like a DH.

Tight lines.

Good luck!

Hey Yak, welcome to the Forum. Yes, people can be tight lipped about Fork but at the same time you will read lots about Fork on here. Kind of early for your info though for specific info. I understand you want to plan ahead but as that season gets here you will read some "up to date" reports on what the bass are doing "at this time". When you come: welcome to Texas and good luck?

Several of the guides make post weekly in the Bass Fishing Section. You will get lots of info. from those reports. Keep an eye on them and make notes. I will be down there in two weeks. You will read and see pictures of what we did on the Boy From Belgium post as we are sponsoring him for this month of August.

I've never fished Fork before, but this sounds like some pretty solid advice thumb

Honestly a lot of guys stay tight lipped. In november there is usually two patterns. A deep pattern and a shallow pattern. Depending on how cold we get, top water may be out but moving baits in the shallows works well. Shad start pushing shallow to find the warmest waters available. The bass follow the forage.
