It finally stopped raining in Waco long enough to get a little fishing in tonight. Caught a nice bag of solid fish. 5 fish limit went right at 14 lbs. Biggest fish was 3.5. Caught 6 keepers total and 3 dinks all in about an hour. Most exciting part, they were all caught on a splatterback shad I painted.

By far my favorite lure since day one. As in my first post, I just started painting lures (AKA LAST WEEK). My first fish had me hooked on this pattern (see bellow, 6.5lb in the middle of the day), and after tonight... ha

Thanks for all the great posts and tips on painting.

Thanks. That's all it is, pearl white with black splatter on back. Very simple and extremely productive in the stained water.
