2 of mine have come on Jigs then trap. I still catch a ton of quality fish on jigs more than any other bait

Basiitis, the advantage of the slither rig is you can throw into stuff where a jig may or may not hang up. It comes through cover much more easily, as it's essentially a Texas Rig. And it provides the larger profile of a jig and is much easier to use than a jig. Great for novices like DrJL and KenA roflmao

I do remember Donnie Morris. Nice guy. Wonder what happened to him...

1) 12.5lbs , Crigged 4.5" straight tail worm -- 10lb test spinning rod
2) 11.4lbs , 1/2 oz white spinnerbait
3) 10.9lbs , wacky rigged 5" watermelon Senko , ---spinning rod with 10 lb test (this bass was almost 28" long)
4) 10.6lbs , weightless Fluke , 4/0 widegap , 10lb test
5) 10.4lbs , 1/2oz white spinnerbait

Overall , spinnerbait has caught me my most 8-10 lb bass and is my favorite method for bass fishing overall . If there are weeds of any type , I usually have at least three or four spinnerbait varieties tied on .
tight lines

I'm a hang up waiting to happen!! Need all the help I can get!
That's the idea though Basiitis- just like Fouz said.
I think I lose less fish with this rig as well so that helps.
Ken keeps putting giant lizards and stuff on his rig (show off)-I suppose it works too as you can see from his pic!

The Heavy Drop Shot in deep grass has by far produced more big fish. It has boated 30 over 5 lbs. each in a 3 hour period on Amistad.

My custom Spook is second next to the grass. It has caught eight 8 lb. Bass in one day on Ivie during the KGKL tourn. and never drew a check. It took one over 9 lbs. each hour to get a check.

Third is my Halloween Spinner bait in bad weather with 10 Bass all sisters at 6 lbs. each in a tournament on the Ohio River. It has repeated many 30 lb. stringers over the years during all kinds of inclement weather.

Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success.
