Quick note before I get started...I'm referring to pressure as in "over fishing the spot", not barometric pressure although I'll touch on that.

I've found a spot close to my office that has been producing some nice bass in the 4-8 lb range. Got cleared by the business owner and he said he never sees anyone fishing. For two solid weeks I would end up with at least four fish in my one hour morning trip and a few more during my lunch break. A dink here and there, but majority were plump healthy bass. Pretty much everything I was throwing was getting hit with most of the larger fish caught on a Berkley Power Worm on the initial drop. Then the cold front started making it's way down on the 13th. I figured they would be active the day before and then shut down for a few. This was the case, but this August weather pattern has been unusual. Multiple days of light rain and overcast. The bite has slowed down significantly, so my questions is how much does a uncommon pattern like we are seeing in North Texas actually effect the fish? A normal fall or spring cold front is simple... it blows in, active bite right before then a day or two later it picks back up. We've now had six days straight of below normal temps and light rain. The altimeter has hoovered around 30.00 so wondering if that along with the weather pattern is what has shut them down. Also wondering if I've put too much pressure on the spot fishing it twice a day for 14 days straight. Would like to hear some thoughts on this.

Cool, overcast rainy,misty days, go to "moving baits". Spinners, inline spinners, small cranks, topwaters, buzz baits, even jigs fished faster than normal. They will come up shallow looking for food. Water temps have dropped, they are less lethargic, more active,chasing moving things like shad, minnows, bugs floating on surface etc. Worked for me, should work for you. They are in a "false Fall mode" What works in "indian summer" september and october, should work now.

I agree with Rudy. And as far a pressure, unless the pond is the size of a bathtub, one guy fishing for 14 days straight is no problem for a body of water, even a small one.
