Robert Youngblood and James Washington are proud to bring back American Bass Anglers (ABA) / American Fishing Trail district 54 to the North Texas/ DFW region. Our goal is to work hard to reestablish and provide a top notch draw trail bass tournament where the average weekend angler always has a chance to win and is treated fairly and has a good time. In the ABA series, just like the boater, the non-boater have an opportunity to fish in bass tournaments they normally would not be able to in the past and still compete for cash prizes and qualify for the ABA national championship. This trail gives novice fisherman the opportunity to learn from people who have been doing it for some time.
There are trails that have larger payouts and we both have fished them, but for the love of the sport, having a good relaxing but competitive time and you can’t beat the ABA. From a personal perspective, we a very competitive, but no one is a jerk and everyone assist each other if needed in emergency. We are both local guys with diverse bass fishing background and believe what we are presenting opportunity to the average fisherman who just loves the sport of bass fishing. Our focus is on the lakes of North Texas. Just like any national organizational organization, there are rules and regulations that must be followed to be a member and we invite you to go to the national and local website to review them if you are curious. We invite questions from those who are interested.
The ABA annual national championship is top notch. For more info visit the national websites http://www.americanbassanglers.com/http://www.drawtrail.com/Rules.php
