I took a short trip in my jon boat just before the storms were supposed to start on Saturday.

https://youtu.be/D4SK_wUYygk

Ended up with some nice bass for the amount of time I spent out there. I started hearing thunder about an hour after I got on the water so I high tailed it out of there.

I'm trying to diversify the baits I'm using a bit. Let me know any you wanna see in the next video!

Thanks guys!

As always good stuff! That place is gonna be money in winter when that grass dies off some and you can rip a trap

Thanks man! I'm excited to see how it shapes up. They're also planning on stocking some grass carp to help keep it controlled a bit.

I think it's quite a bit deeper than I previously thought. Hopefully I'll be getting a depth finder soon and I can get some actual numbers. All I have to judge depth right now are my anchor and lures haha

Lol hopefully they make sure they stock sterile grass carp and dont over stock them or they will eat everything.

Haha yeah, they were wanting to poison all of it and I got worried. I didn't want them to cause a fish kill when all the oxygen got used up from the decomposing plants. It seems like they've changed their minds for now though. I'm hoping they actually talk with a fisheries manager before they do anything.

I'm thinking of starting to paint custom lures as well. Would y'all be interested in some videos on that?

Thanks! Hopefully there will be a break in the rain so I can get out and make more. We definitely need the rain right now, though.
