They will catch fish but just like anything else, it depends on the conditions. Sometimes, a simple pop-r will catch them better.

They work GREAT on fork, any of the shad colors in 1/4 oz.

If it was easy, everyone would do it

They have to be fished, you can't just throw it out there along side a popr and fish it the same. definitely a better bait

Some of the things that they YM will do for you if you work it correctly.

Spit water up to 8' in front of the bait
2. Chugger
3. Walk the dog, even the 1/4 oz will do that.
4. Sputter
5. POP

You can't get MOST of those actions out of a chug bug or a Pop R. First time I fished it I won a tournament with 2 8's, a 5 and a 6 on Bob Sandlin in June 2000. My big fish was a 10.48 on a scum frog, but the others were big enough to win the T, anyway. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Will it REALLY spit water EIGHT FEET in front of the lure? But, even if it can, why would this be a benefit?

I have two of them....both bone colored. One medium, one larger. I have used the larger one two times. One day I caught a bunch....next day nothing.

Now I have two, one that was used twice, and one still in the plastic box.

I should try it more often. Don't know why I don't, other than I usually catch plenty on so many other baits that require less talent to use. Haha.

YES, I have seen it spit water 8' out in front of the bait many times. More often tha nnot it is 6', bbut it will spit 8' if you know how to work it. Have you ever seen a bait school flipping out of the water? Being chased to the top and launching out of the water? A LOT of times, they leave a trail of water behind them, so it reminds bass of fleeing baityfish, is my guess, but it DOES WORK! Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Well maybe it was just your great presentation all along, and really you have to still change the hooks after paying that much?

What size hooks do yall put on the 1/4 and 1/2oz sizes without it hindering the action of the bait?

Are you using the st-36? What size are you using on the 1/4 and 1/2oz models?
