Most won't agree but I think it's greed at the management levels. All about the money.

Because PBR is more of a spectator sport than fishing. Every year a couple bull riding events put 40,000-50,000 fans in ATT(Cowboy's) stadium as just one of many stops on their circuit. more people fish than ride bulls but more go watch others ride than watch others fish.

If you charged just $5 at the classic for admission that's a million right there...I think it would be amazing to see a million dollar prize

I was wondering why The professional bullriders can crown a million dollar champ yet bass fishing cant...I have my ideas but would like to hear yalls because the BPR is owned by a 20 billion dollar sports and entertainment company that has national television contracts with FOX and the major sports stations in Brazil, Mexico and Puerto Rico. Attendance at the actual events plays very little in the prize money. The real money comes from TV and advertising.

Agreed, and I've set off firestorms on here before with what's about to follow, but while I love to fish, I could care less about watching or following up on those who do it professionally. On the other hand, I could care less about riding a bull myself, but find it pretty entertaining to go watch someone else get launched off one.

The bullriders are athletes not sure you can call fisherman much like golfers the same. There are both golfers and fisherman who work out and use fitness to excel but many who carry a load around and guzzle beer who are hardly athletic yet qualify for the PGA and BASS. The amount of winnings is pretty much decided by what Ranger, Merc, Toyota and Yamaha etc are willing to put up. If the audience was bigger the prize money would be too.

Well for now well have to watch them make a measly $300,000 check and another $250,000 in endorsement money lol

They are Atheletes for sure they use their brain more than there brawn...Bullriders use their brain more than their brawn for sure because no amount of muscle will help you ride a bull and some of the greatest are some of the smallest Chris Shivers example 5'3" 135...But I do understand where people would say their not Atheletes but for me they are very much atheletes...Ever see Paul Elias beard with icicles hanging off it WOW

There was one once by FLW, look up Scott Suggs, and it acutally got alot of mainstream media attention. I guess the financials just didn't add up. Until this year FLW cup was the richest payout, but now its just 300K, think the bassmaster classic is the same.

being been on the bull riding side, its a lot more entertaining for people to watch a bull sling a rider up in the air on his horns and stomp and sling him threw the air again than a guy catching a 3-4lber and calling it a giant...oh yea its not fun when it happens like that either sometimes it really hurts...
