I was out there yesterday from noon to 6. The weather was great, but fishing was bad. Caught 1 keeper and 4 smalls. I fished alot of spots from the dam to mid lake, north of the island. I could not find them. lots of shad on most drop offs, but no fish. Good luck you all..

I was out today from 8am to 1:30pm and found them pretty good. The water temp is still right at 83 to 84 degrees and the fish are still biting. It took a little hunting to locate them but when we did......they bit hard. The fish are shallow and shallower! All fish today came from 8 to 13 feet on flats near the river channel. If you mark fish and get bit....stick around the area for a minute even if it looks like they are long gone. There is a good chance your scope will light up again. Slabs and flies still getting it done. We ended up with 42 fish before we called it a day with a line of storms coming from the southwest. The fish are healthy and moving very fast. I am amazed at how shallow these fish are staying this year. The fish have still not been relating to deep structure on Eagle Mountain. Fishing should pick up again in the coming weeks as we start the slow transition to fall. I check a lot of different structures and depth ranges every time I am out bit shallow flats have been the ticket at Eagle for the past three months.

Tight lines-

It's supposed to rain, but I'll still be out there very early tomorrow (Saturday) morning until about 2pm. Stop and say hello if you see me. I'll be in a White Ranger with blue trim. Fat dude on the bow digging out a birds nest.
