I am trying to figure out how to get to a "short list" of the "TOP 10" public freshwater locations to fly fish in Texas, and I bet you all can help. I figure we narrow it down here, then create one of those fancy "polls" to tighten it down a little more. So pick your tops (doesn't have to be 10) in one post reply, in order - #1 being favorite - all inside the State of Texas. Then, if this doesn't fall apart, maybe we can open a "New Can of Shrimp," and come up with a "Top 5" Texas saltwater fly fishing locations. If these lists already exists (and is fresh), somebody feel free to send me to it please!

My Number 1 is fishing inside the Bass Pro Shops. I would have thought it would get more pressure but I hardly ever see anyone else fishing there. My #2 is the Koi Ponds at the Ft.Worth Arboretum. JP

Ok fine but 1-4 I'm not giving up as they are in the middle of the metro and people free so start at
5 with the Nolan enough said
6 below pk dam view is as good as the fishing
7 below Whitney during generation
8 below texoma after a flood and during generation
9 extensive private stretch of Colorado close to goldthwait especially if stripers get that far from buccanon and stopped at our dam
10 new addition the Sabine during the sandbassrun
Ok I know I realize now I am stripe fish seeker in Texas. Ask me about all states be a lot different lol.
