I am hoping to receive some feedback from the members of the Texas fishing Forum regarding a website I recently made a purchase from on a lower unit for my 1998 Evinrude outboard. The website is Texasoutboards.com and the owner is gentleman by the name of Gary Farmer. Does or has anyone had any experience with this company good or bad any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I purcharsed the lower unit on 8/8/16 and had no issues contacting the Mr. Farmer until Thursday of last week when I followed up on the shipping of the unit he assured me that it was simply a delay due to high volume of orders. I have made several attempts since Thursday and have been unable to reach him since that day. Any recommendations of course of action ?

I purchased a Lower unit from them a couple of years ago. Seem to me it took
a couple of weeks to get it. They get their LU's from SEI in Florida. Just an FYI
if you have any problems just call SEI with the serial number and deal direct with them. I had a noise in mine after 18 months and had a dealer look into it. There were some teeth broken off ( I hit a stump pretty hard). Texas Outboards told me the warranty was voided because I had someone else look at it. Called SEI with the serial number, got a Return Number sent in the bad one and they sent me a replacement.

I purchase and sell new lower units too and it takes 3-4 days max to get one shipped to me, if this helps.
Not taking your calls after they have your money is a no,no and 7 days and no lower unit???

Thank you all for your comments I was finally able to get a tracking number this Monday from him guess he was out of town or just busy. Unit scheduled to arrive today and I will most definitely keep the info on calling SEI direct in the event of any issues. Thanks again and happy fishing. fish
