After my last posting, my wife decided for the second time in twenty years that she had to get on the lake with me! She said that I shouldn't have to catch all those big crappie myself, so she would go help me! (Since she doesn't tell me what to do) I decided she could tag along this time too. I asked her what she wanted to use, and she quickly said, "One of those Tadpole thingy's you been catching them on, what else!" So, (since she doesn't tell me what to do) I tied on the Silver flash Chartreuse and turned her loose! Before I could get my rod ready,
she was slinging one in the boat!
It was the beginning of a great day on the water!
We left the first stop and I went searching for a Christmas tree, and soon found one full up!

Caught ourselves a limit of decent ones!

Her proud moment was catching this gar, and boy did he do some acrobatics for her!
She has learned to set the hook now, and caught just near half this time. I may be in trouble, help me!

Thermocline Lures mini Tadpole in silver flash chartreuse ruled the day! (These things are awesome!)

Good report...I love it when my wife fishes with me...my wife is very respectful as well, she recognizes that I am the captain and would never tell me what to do...However she emphatically tells me what she's gonna do, then backs it up...she can talk smack with the best of them...I love it!

Heck yeah!! My wife won't crappie fish. Give her a fly rod and put her in a river she can see trout swimming in and she will beat the water to a froth flinging flies but set her on a brushpile I'm pulling em in 2 at a time and she reads a book or texts her girlfriend! Least I got bubba to go with me! maybe peep will come along eventually!

I'd say she has the hookset down if she can stick steel in a gars lips!!! thumb
