Last fall I made my own wooden top water lure...I had such success with it, I challenged myself to ONLY use this lure for the entire fishing season. I have caught more bass than ever...and not been skunked once.
My question is...is there one lure in your box that you have so much confidence in that you would take the ONE lure challenge???

So you don't fish in winter I guess?

For me a Texas rig craw or worm can get the job done. Second would be a jig. You can fish either one shallow, deep, in cover in open water, swim it, wake it etc.It can be extremely versatile.

No, I don't fish in winter...I actually live in northern indiana, but I love this forum! Bass are bass, right?
Frankly, I'm jealous that you guys can bass fish in the winter!
I think confidence in the lure you're using is key.
Good chpice :-)

I love to throw a spinner bait year round; but don't think it could get the job done with only one. Although my Custom Hank Parker is the closes one I have.

I build them for year round conditions as well as lake conditions.
- Spring time spawn Spinner baits.
- The Shad Spawn spinner baits.
- Down sized Summer time Spinners.
- Night time spinner baits.
- Slow rollers and deep ledge spinner baits.
- Bad Weather Spinner bait the Halloween Bait.
- High water spinners for cloudy and sunny days.
- Stained water baits for cloudy and sunny days.
- Clear water baits for cloudy and sunny days.
- The Drop-In-Bait for grass pockets - buzz it- wake it - slow roll it.
- Mexico Spinner Baits
- Falcon - Amistad - Ivie tournament baits.
- Custom baits to your preference - lake - conditions - baits they you can no longer find on the market.

Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success.

I do not bass fish any except my ponds here, we have discussed this many times before, over all 1 best for everything would be a Cordell Hot Spot in yellow/silver, larger size. The originals that came without the split ring on top.

Spinnerbait or 6" green pumpkin senko for me. Can't decide between the 2 of them.

For those of you who say senko, will you be using a bare book for the second fish?

I TOO would go senko. It can be used as a jig, jerk bait, weightless, drop shot, you name it..
