Looking for some info to help get a new guy started on Eagle Mountain. I've been told the north end of the lake is the best place to rod fish but I. Would like to put out about 2 doz. weighted, stationary jugs. Where would. You folks suggest? All my jugs have at least 24' and most have up to 32'. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all.

Have you been able to figure out anything yet? We've only been on the lake twice and that was to take the GKids tubing.

Nothing. I spent one morning pitching some punch bait around docks and some rock rip rap. Other then that I've been catching the sandies. I've been wanting to find some good spots to catch some channel cats.

I catch shad every time I go to EM. The last 4 trips there, I have caught more channel cats then the sand bass or hybrids I am looking for. Last Monday, Wednesday, and Friday was all the same. Channel cats from 1.5 lb. to 8 lb., on shad, every where I stopped.

Dam hump, mid lake humps, and east to south of the island. Look for depths of 14 ft. to 32 ft. and they will be there, especially, 18 to 26 ft. bang

Mostly spot lock on Trolling motor. Sometimes very slow drifting. I wish I had taken a screen shot at the hump by the dam Friday. It looked like a huge school of actively feeding big sand bass or striper. Turned out to be channel cats.

Any dock with a light and some with out one, before daylight. My cranking battery went out last week and once I got my big motor going, I left it running while hitting some shallow docks for shad. Even with it running,I was able to catch more than enough shad for the morning.

You can catch Shad in westbay marina. Most people find fishing on EM to be a tough game this time of year. Lots of traffic and the fish move a good bit. Put your Jugs out in front of Party Cove in 25' of water. EM really won't get great till after school starts back up.

Where's the hump by the damage? Estate side or west side?
