Looking for suggestions on what might be broke on my boat. When I'm running the lake the live well water goes out rapidly causing my fish to stress out because of water level. Any advice on what may be broken so I can fix this asap. Thanks

Live well valve is broke. Quick fix is put plugs in the bottom of you wells.

Does your boat have a valve in it? It might not and then you have to use plugs. Mine has a cable to the right of my seat to open and close the live wells. What kind of boat and year model is it? Carry some live well plugs even if you have a cable just in case it fails

There is probably an overflow in addition to the normal valve. You can slosh out quite a bit of water if there is an overflow.

This happened to me recently and it was a bad valve.

Thank you for responding. I will have to plug it from the outside of the boat, the live well has a screen over it and plexiglass on top of the mesh. It's a Legend LE21.

^^^ Or, it could be a male fitting off a pump or valve. Won't know until you do the dreaded bilge dive. I have to replace mine. The plastic became brittle with age and the hose snapped it off. Don't you just love standing on your head.

It would help if you read all the threads because he did say what his boat is.
