These crappie are not early risers. They've been waiting to the hottest part of the day to come out and play. Spent a few days on Murvaul and caught some quality fish....several 14 inchers and one 15. Not much luck on timber but brush piles were holding them. The bite is just barely detectable. Bobby Garland shad in blue ice still seems to be working best for me. Seem to be suspended in about 10 fow. If you happen to try for these hot crappie be sure and drink plenty of water and cover up from the sun.
