Finally..... we got some wind. I knew that the fishing would be great so I headed out right after work and fished for an hour. Boy oh boy was it a blast. No more laying around in the hammock bored. They were slamming and the lake cooled off 5 degrees. My arm is sore. I took pictures of the 13 big ones but I bet I caught over 25 total. One right after another. Fun day. Blow wind blow. LOL

Nice Fish. My Dad and I fished there a few weeks ago. We managed to leave our cast net behind so we just bass fished. It was the first time for either of us to be there. We managed a few bass each but saw loads of shad and had wished we had the cast net.

Does anyone fish with live shad for Hydrids there?

A few fish live but to tell you the truth it's better to slab or troll.
