A cold front is supposed to hit north Texas this weekend, high temps in high eighties and low nineties, will that affect the fishing much, I know a cold front sounds strange in August, but didn't know if the temp change would make much of a difference. Thanks for the input.

I would think it will help more than hurt especially if it brings some rain. Could make them move shallow and get them active. I dont think summer "cold fronts" effect the bass as much as winter ones do. But Im no expert.

In my experience, a true summertime cold front will shut down florida bass faster than anything...other than a blue norther after a warm week in spring. But this isn't going to be much of a "cold front" so I doubt it will have much impact on the bite.

I'm hoping the cloud cover will get them going atleast until it pushes through. You can bet the post front blue bird will still be tough no matter what season although it is less effective in the summer.

As the barometric pressure drops the fishing should really turn on. It's after the front two days or so that the bite should get tuff.

A temperature drop would sure help this old fisherman.

I will be happy if it just rains on the pleasure boaters parade
