 Great half day on Twak. 8/7

Found great Striper action early at Sun Point on live bait in 25 fow. Kept 2 and released several 16-20" fish. Moved out to 35 fow at about 10 a.m. and caught several Hybrid up to 24" on live bait and a 5" pearl fluke on a 1 oz head. At around 1 p.m. we found a great school of Sandies in 18 fow at Finger Point. All caught on #4 Mepps. Called it a day around 2. Haven't fished much this year and Tawakoni was just what I needed.

Nice fish, great pics too. I'm wanting to make a trip over there later this week when I get back from crappie fishing in Oklahoma. I haven't seen Twok since Janurary, and that's too long.

I saw all the boats at Holiday early and elected to go to Sun Point. The Striper action was immediate and steady for a very long time. We lost one extremely nice fish right at the boat due to a netting error on my part. I had to hear about that one all day. The Hybrid were big and fat. Caught lots of 15"-16" Hybrid which bodes well for next year. Tawakoni is definitely in a class all by itself.
