You are correct about the Gulp Alive Worms. I sometimes use them along the rip-rap and cannot tell the difference between them & worms. Blue gills, crappie, cat fish, blacks, & drum will take them. Really most anything in the lake will hit them. No Rio Grande's up here, though.

Thanks Don the angler for the reply! I love just about all of the Gulp Alive Products especially the worms. I also really like the Berkley Trout Worms (natural color). Great results on both!

Plasma 800. I usually bait the Gulp Worms right on the hook. I have also used jig heads and roadrunners with the Gulp Worms as trailers. Alot of Gulp Alive products can be used with jig heads or other artifical baits.

Thanks Andrew and Red snappa for the replies! Early morning fishing is hard to beat! Plasma 800: I pinch them off just like I would do a live worm. Usually leave one or two inches hanging off the hook. The amount of worm will depend on several factors such as where I am fishing, bite pattern, water conditions, time of year, etc. I also use the Gulp Alive Night Crawlers!

I also notice gulp has multiple alive "worms" Nightcrawler, earthworm, etc... which one do you like? I can testify that the Gulp Alive minnow (the small 1" variety) is lethal on bluegills and redear! Heck, we fish them under a cork on #6 Aberdeen just like a worm! They are amazingly effective!

I for sure want to try those... the video I posted (might have been another thread) they put them on a tiny spoon and let them flutter.. interesting tactic I'd like to try.

Thanks Guys for the replies and comments. Friends of mine have used the Gulp Alive Minnows with very good results mainly on the Crappie and bass.

Nice fish as always Chuck. Been catching some nice Crappie. Hopefully this latest rain event did not was Jeff and mines brush piles away. Drove by Mcqueeney yesterday and it is a muddy mess. Will be given it a try Thursday after noon.
Side Note: You doing any night fishing? Also have you fished the Sabinal River lately?
