Headed down on tomorrow... Just wondering what guys are using in the surf for bait this time of year. I'm a live bait kinda guy..looking to get into some reds or a shark. How far down the beach?? I was planning on getting away from everyone

I was down in North Padre/ Corpus a couple weeks back. Caught shark pups, Bonnet head and Black Tip, on Live shrimp (while fishing for bait lol) and cut bait. Endless amounts of whiting and hardheads if you let your shrimp hit the bottom. Hard to go wrong with live shrimp on a cork or fishing some live piggy perch or croaker for red fish.
